Why Organic?
In todays modern and fast life, somewhere we are ignoring the adverse impact of foods and products they are causing to our health. Today, the market is flooded with chemical based products which though provide instant benefits but ruin our health in the long run. According to Maharashtra Organic Farming Federation, (Pune), over the past decades, there has been an increase in the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in the farming activities with no warnings about the negative consequences associated with them.
In the light of increased health problems among people due to consumption of inorganic products, organic foods and products have gained a special preference among consumers. Now, it is the time to make a safer and healthier choice for our family by avoiding chemicals and switching to organic. Organic products are produced by using natural ways and techniques, which ensure higher level of human welfare, farmers livelihood, agriculture employment, and environmental sustainability. Organic farming is also essential to create more wildlife and preserve more greenery. Whatever people purchase from food, & drink to cosmetics and textiles when they choose organic, you choose products which promote a better world.
Moreover, the organic products are derived from reliable sources certified by organic standards. Organically grown foods are enriched in higher nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and micronutrients, than genetically modified foods. This is because the soil is nourished with natural practices which maintain the fertility of the soil. Also, organically grown foods are tastier than genetically grown as the former promotes nurtured, well-balanced, healthier, stronger plants.
Thus, in order to fulfill the commitment of our great leaders like Lal Bahadur Shastri who gave the slogan "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" and to build a 'Poison Free India', there is a need to go organic.
